Admit it, we love our little screen devices that help us through our day. They handle so much. From directions to banking to, oh yeah, phone calls. Whether you are using a phone or tablet here are some cool apps to also use for artsy things.

Capture everything from your tiniest doodles to your biggest ideas all in one place, no matter where you are with the new Autodesk® SketchBook® mobile app.

This program is great. You can download it on almost any device. Use it on you desktop or on a handheld device. I have it on my android phone and Ipad Pro. The amount of power they have put into this app is crazy. Check it out you will be amazed.

Concepts is visual thinking; drawing reimagined for today. It combines the freedom and feel of artistic sketching with the precision, clarity, and usefulness of CAD. It’s the smartest sketchbook, ever.

Concepts is a great app for designers and anyone who needs to quickly make out a sketch for a client or to show an idea to someone. You can really accomplish a lot with this app. Even though it is only downloadable on Apple products it is worth checking out. It has rulers and line straightening capabilities that really help with getting the dimensions right.

Procreate Pocket is the ultimate way to create on your iPhone. Quickly get started with everything you need to create stunning illustrations, drawings, and paintings.

Again, an app for Apple products, but, man is this one cool. It is specifically to be used with the ipad Pro’s pencil. It works great. You feel the power behind the programming when you start to create. And the ability to color and affect the artwork is always fun.

Inkist eschews the trend of hiding interface elements from you, and presents you with everything you need up front.

For a limited time this app is FREE. Even though people do complain about the bugs there is still a lot of fun to be had and some good work ability. It’s like carrying an art case with you. You can easily get to all your tools and the adjust colors easily. If you like having everything right there in front of you then this is your app.

No matter what your need, chances are there is an app out there that will amaze you in its ability to help you create. If you have found a cool one let me know in the comments, I would love to hear about it.
